Privacy

Protecting personal data matters. This is a deliberately lean personal website: it uses no analytics tools, advertising networks, social-media plugins or tracking cookies.

Controller

Marcus Bäckmann, Gwatt (Thun), Switzerland, is responsible for processing personal data in connection with this website. Privacy requests can be sent using the contact form.

Website provision

When you access this website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data, including IP address, date and time of access, requested page, browser information and referrer URL. This data is processed in server log files to enable technical operation, security and error analysis. It is not combined with other data sources or used for advertising.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, the information you provide – name, email address, optional subject and message – is processed only to handle and answer your enquiry. The message is sent by email to Marcus Bäckmann. It is not shared with third parties unless this is technically necessary for delivery or required by law.

The data is deleted as soon as the enquiry has been fully handled and no legal retention obligation remains.

External links

This website links to external services, including Substack, YouTube, LinkedIn and linked company websites. A connection to the respective provider is made only when you click such a link. The privacy notices of those external websites apply to their processing of personal data.

Substack and YouTube feeds

At longer intervals, the homepage retrieves the public Substack RSS feed and the public DIG IT 360 YouTube Atom feed to show the three latest posts and videos. The retrieval is server-side and locally cached. No visitor personal data is transmitted to Substack or YouTube. YouTube opens only when a video is clicked.

Your rights

Where applicable data-protection law provides for it, you may request information about stored personal data and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Please use the contact form.
